SWEDIA GOES BACK

to 1958 when Sture Johansson, father of today’s owners, started out with one small coastal tanker. The company soon developed in to a well-reputed ship owner. In 1978 Sture and his brother Willy Johansson founded Vingatank Rederi AB. The Swedia of today started in 1988 when the Vingatank corporation was sold . The current chartering department took form in 1999 and has now turned into the core business. The focus has always been on smaller tankers, as it is today.
